Robin Bell is one of Britain's most respected black & white printers.
He is one of the few professionals who continue to specialise in hand processing black & white film and hand printing black & white images to an exceptionally high standard.
Over the years Robin has printed for many interesting photographers including Terry O'Neill, Eve Arnold, Don McCullin, John Swannell, David Bailey, Terence Donovan, Norman Parkinson and Linda McCartney, as well as many more whose work is instantly recognisable to the public even if their names are not. Robin's versatility, dedication and collaborative approach have made him a favourite with photographers of all kinds. Robin approaches every project - however small - with exactly the same level of care and attention to detail, helping photographers bring out the best in their images and working closely with them to achieve the desired effect. From folio images to editorial & documentary, from advertising and marketing to archives and historic collections, Robin has covered virtually every type of black & white printing work there is. In the last year Robin has printed for the Lee Miller archive, the Ken Russell archive, Tom Craig, Martyn Colbeck, Michael Birt and Linda Lieberman. As well as working on exhibitions for these established photographers, he continues to process and print for many new photographers who choose still to work with film.
This website is a showcase for just some of the thousands of images Robin has printed - for more information, please contact Robin direct on 020 7610 1020 or e-mail robin@robinbell.com
