Sunset on the Thames. Feb 08 I was driving down the Embankment towards Westminster last week after a Guardian shoot and caught the sun just about to go to bed. I have a real love of the Thames and when the light is right along the river it makes everything look like it's straight from a movie. Awesome! Anyway I jumped out of my car and shot a few frames.

I'm old enough to remember the great London fogs of the 50's: there's a bit of that quality in this, plus the Victorian feel of the colour of the image and the lines of the buildings and the bridge supports, chuck in the hi-tech London eye and this picture has a lot going for it!
